On Saturday, the 6th of October while at the State Fair in Texas, my girlfriend and I purchased a massage chair from the Mattress Firm showroom at the exhibit terrace located on the fair grounds.

We paid the necessary deposit via a credit card, agreeing to finance the remaining balance. It was agreed at that time that the chair would be delivered to her home on Saturday, the 13th between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

On Saturday, the 13th at 3:30 PM, having not heard from anyone, I phoned the deliveryman, Scott Burkhardt. Mr. Burkhardt did not immediately answer, but phoned us back approximately 15 minutes later.

Upon inquiring as to his whereabouts, we were advised that our order did not appear on his manifest for that day's scheduled deliveries. However, upon seeing in the computer system that we had in fact placed the order, Mr. Burkhardt apologized for the inconvenience and advised that he would be able to make the deliver on Thursday, the 18th between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Yesterday, on the 18th, my girlfriend took the afternoon off from work awaiting his arrival. At 4:00 PM when he had not shown, I attempted to contact him no less than four times. He has thus far failed to return any of my calls.

I then contacted Customer Service in an effort to cancel the order and to insure a prompt refund on the credit card account, as the current credit card statement indicates that the deposit was debited to the account on the day of sale.

I was have however informed that the Customer Service department cannot cancel the order or provide the refund themselves, and that the sales team at the State Fair will have to handle the matter themselves.

Can you please explain to me how I am to get this matter resolved as no one from the State Fair sales department will return my phone call, much less answer the phone?

Monetary Loss: $5412.

What did you pay for chair? I noticed they are alot cheaper on web site than they were at the fair.

I was at heart of Texas fair this week. Super excessive and aggressive salesmanship....they immediately started pressing me to buy for 9000...then was down to 5000 within a few minutes.

When I said I don't make impulse purchases on items that costly and that I will go to the local mattress firm store if I decide to pursue, I immediately had a major attitude. I was told by saleslady she didn't know if the local store had them because the company flew then in to do sales at the fair.

Sounded a bit fishy to me. That nay explain why others posting reviews have had issues getting hold of someone about their complaints.

I purchased a 6 thousand dollar massage chair at the 2017 Ohio state fair delivered the 13th of sept. Itโ€™s now Jan 14th and my massage chair broke 3 days ago.

Fighting with management about a refund because a three year warranty on a machine that broke in less than 4 montages is like *** in the wind!

Oh yeah the machine is built in CHINA!!!! They canโ€™t even make dog food without killing dogs!!

I was approved for the Infinity Message Chair from the State Fair of Texas thru Mattress Firm, and it was delivered the day they said it would be. I am completely addicted to this chair and I love it!

It's a big purchase so I was leary of doing this, but NOT REGRETTING THE PURCHASE AT ALL.

I sent in my warranty and have contacted customer service in the paper work sent to my home with no problems.

I RECOMMEND THE INFINITY MESSAGE CHAIR!

You shouldn't have to contact the State Fair for a purchase made thru a company using their facilities to advertise. Mattress Firm should be able to help you and I've had no problems Good luck to you

I bought the cozzia serenity at the fair because I have right side paralysis/spasticity. Now I am having buyers remorse. Is it worth $5000?

had the same problem with the mattress guys right behind the massage chairs. $3000 lesson i hope no one else has to learn

My suggestion is that you call your credit card company and explain the situation. They should reverse the charge and take back the money from Mattress Firm. They will have to provide proof the item was delivered and since they have none, they have no grounds to stand on or to try and stop the refund.

Purchased Cozzia chair at fair. Delivered on the day promised at 9:30 PM and chair has worked well.

What is upsetting is that now I find the chair everywhere for $3500 after I paid over $5000.

Buyer beware but the price difference is huge if you choose to go to Mattress Firm. Not buying anything else there!

I ordered a massage chair from Mattress Firm at the State Fair of Texas and have yet to get any information on the delivery which was to be on 10/31/13. When I call, the sales person who sold me my chair said that he has no way of telling when or who will be delivering it.

Thankfully I was not required to put any money down or provide a credit card. Bummed that I don't think I will be getting the chair though.

This guy calls the product a ripoff... your way of thinking is a ripoff.

Talk about an average consumer... my goodness. This is the type of person that has probably complained relentlessly his entire life expecting everything to be perfect. Absolutely right about communication breaking down but all you do is simply walk away and never buy from them again.

Instead you need to go online and think that your pathetic story will publically shame the company YOU spent your money on.

Come on man.... you must have ulcers and veins popping out of your head from when you get upset and think anyone cares.

You are a piece of work, and are probably the same whiny *** of a boy that I decided not to buy a chair from. The same guy that said it was egregious that I changed my mind, that I had taken the food off of his childrenโ€™s plates by not buying from him.

Our chair was delayed due to back orders, however, our saleswoman gave us her direct number. So we were able to contact her, and the customer service group to find out what was holding it up.

It was delivered and everything has been great. Good luck resolving your issue.
